PAULSHOCK TO RUN FOR 5TH DISTRICT COUNCIL SEAT
Bill Paulshock today announced that he has filed his candidacy for the 5th District Baltimore County Council seat. He said, “I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve the people who live in the 5th District as well as those who live throughout Baltimore County.”
Paulshock asserted, “I am not a politician. I am a small business owner who has worked hard my entire life, always putting people first. I will not become a career politician because I believe strongly that career politicians focus their attention on their re-election and their political careers. If elected, I will give the people, businesses and organizations in the fifth district a voice on the Baltimore County Council. It is you that will elect me. And it is you that I will work for. I will represent you, not any special interest.”
Paulshock stressed that according to Maryland law, my legal residence is 9016 Belair Road. My driver’s license and voting registration card have always listed 9016 Belair Road as my legal residence. They have never been changed. I consider Perry Hall my residence and so does the law. My roots in Perry Hall are deep. My family has lived in Perry Hall for over 100 years. While I own homes in Kingsville and Ocean City, neither is my legal residence. According to state law, one must seek elective office from his or her legal residence and no other residence. The only place that I can run for office is from 9016 Belair Road.
“Like so many other small business owners, our lives often place unique demands on our families. As the owner of a small family business, most of my time is spent at 9016 Belair Road. My wife, Mindy, and I have worked hard to build our business. Today, my children, Billy Jr., Sammie and Kaci also work in the family business,” said Paulshock.
“As with our business, my candidacy for the 5th District County Council seat, is a family endeavor. Together with my family and a strong volunteer team of supporters, we are working hard to win. I am a down-to-earth person with small business sense, who wants to serve the 5th District people. Your concerns are my concerns; the education of our children, the care of our seniors and the safety of our communities. Together, I know that we can make the 5th District a good place to live, work and raise our families,” said Paulshock.
